Cisterns
Before choosing a toilet cistern, make sure the connection type, internal mechanism, and capacity you’re considering work properly with your toilet and the way it’s used.
- If you’re replacing an old cistern → check whether the connection is low, mid, or high level, so it fits the toilet correctly without makeshift solutions.
- If long-term reliability matters to you → pay close attention to the filling and flushing mechanisms.
These are the only parts that operate daily and are most prone to wear over time. - If you want lower water consumption → make sure the cistern supports dual flush or adjustable flush volume (not all models do).
- If the cistern is visible in the bathroom → check its dimensions and wall projection, so it doesn’t look bulky in the space.
